Title under-construction
Research and creation with 10 students of the 3rd year Drama Departent at KASK

Contextual note
We had 14 days together. We read ‘Ghosts’ by Cesar Aira and based on his novel, some chapters of Tim Ingold’s ‘Making’ and our additional thoughts we created a conceptual space. We inhabited this space, moved in it, moulded it and attempted to materialise it. We constructed text, materials, structures, bodies and each other. Title under-construction is the sharing of some materials encountered in our research. Here, we share our pursuit in materialising constructions, dealing with the unpredictable constraints that reality imposes on us, as fictions.

Programma text
To cover the entire surface of the studio space we need approximately 700 kg of sand. We dreamed of having the space transformed and for it to become a different environment, dusty and ghostly. Unfortunately we don’t have the means to make this idea exist in its materiality, it requires too much of everything for it to happen. Instead of covering the whole space in sand we will write about it and through our texts it will become real. Therefore: When you are entering the space please imagine the floor isn’t a black marley floor, taped together, uncharacteristic, boring and sterile. Instead is a voluptuous and capricious surface of grey sand, full of small dunes that create valleys.
